My writing philosophy would have to be the Burkean Parlor Model. I feel if a student learns more by obtaining their knowledge in their own way. And what I got from the Burkean Parlor Model is that you listen for a little bit and when you feel you obtained what you needed to gain you move on and put it in your own words. By doing this i feel what you learned will stick with you better than just reading words and memorizing them never truley understanding what you are really leaning. I feel we use methods like this everyday not only in writing centers and what i've learned from my own experince is, whatever works for you... you should go with. For a student like my self this would be the perfect model for me. But maybe for someone else something more cut and paste would work better for them.
