Blog # 9

During my session with Angela, I asked her to read her paper to me out loud by doing this she was able to catch some of her just by hearing her own voice. I asked her questions on what she wanted to get across and what she was focoused on and she really seemed to connect better with her writing . I felt like in a situation like this min. tutoring was an excellent way to go because the student seems to pick up on their own mistakes and soon they won't need anyone else to help them. Angela helped me as well doing the best she could without me draft i quickly told her what my essay was about and how i organized it. I told her I was having a little trouble with the ending and with a few questions she got me to see what I was doing wrong and what I needed to do to fix my problem. This way is good because the student feels like they can do it on their own rather than always depending on help from someone else.
