Blog # 12

Our first tutoring session in the CAS we had to work with each other because we had no students. I was a student and I had one of my classmates tutor me while the other observed the session. During my session, I noticed that Keith used minimalistic techniques which seemed very effective for this session. He sat next to me and asked me what I was there for. Then he has me read my paper and asked me what I thought was wrong. Keith had me correct my paper as we went along. He helped me take out and minimize quotes. Our session was kind of short because I didn't have many questions about my paper. Then our professor came and did another tutoring session with me so that Keith and Christine could gain some more notes. The professor took more of a teacher student approach. She helped me pull out my three main ideas and made them stronger. After the two tutors I was a lot cleared about where I was going to go with my paper and how to fix it up.
